The drama of a low-flying helicopter returns to Greater Victoria this spring.

FortisBC is set for its annual inspection of its high-pressure gas lines, expected to start from April 26 to June 15 during daylight hours.

Authorized by Transport Canada, the aerial surveys allow for annual inspection of the FortisBC high-pressure transmission natural gas lines, something the utility company says is an important part of its integrity management program.

The Capital Regional District is one of 23 regional districts in B.C. that will see flights – with time spent in a single area expected to be minimal. The flight schedule is dependent on weather and wildfires in the province.
