Naxaxalhts'l Honoured At Convocation

NDP MLA John Horgan and UVIC President David Turpin and others joined with Naxaxalhts'l (Albert "Sonny" McHalsie) in a ceremonial walk from the University Centre to the First People's House on the University of Victoria campus Friday morning. The men were taking part in a post-Convocation Ceremonial Procession in honour of honourary degree recipient Naxaxalhts'l who is a leading interpreter of Coast Salish culture. This was the first time such a procession has been held.
