Fire torches Saanich garage Monday morning

Nobody was injured in an early morning fire Monday that caused $200,000 in damage to a Saanich residential property.

Saanich fire crews responded to the 100-block of Hartland Ave. around 5:15 a.m., March 26, and found a detached three-car garage in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it spread.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
