Open houses plan for Shelbourne's future

Saanich will host three open houses this month to help plan the long-term vision of Shelbourne Street.

The Shelbourne Valley, which runs from Feltham to North Dairy roads, will undergo a face-lift in the coming 30 years, and Saanich needs input from residents on what the new look of the major thoroughfare will be.

Concepts and ideas from the Shelbourne Valley action plan transportation study and Shelbourne Valley land use and urban design study will be presented and discussed. A survey will be available to collect input and feedback.

People are encouraged to give feedback at the open houses, or online.

Open houses are:

Monday, Nov. 19, 4 to 8:30 p.m. Lambrick Secondary School Gym, 4139 Torquay Dr.

Nov. 26 and 27, 4 to 8:30 p.m. Cedar Hill Golf Course Club House, 1400 Derby Rd.

Learn more about the Shelbourne Valley action plan and give feedback online at www.saanich.ca from Nov. 19 to Dec. 10.
