There was a small newspaper fire this morning up against the side of the building at Monterey Centre at 1442 Monterey Avenue.
“The fire was extinguished by a staff member prior to our arrival. We are just conducting our investigation at this time,” says Assistant Fire Chief Cam Thomson of the Oak Bay Fire Department.
