I completely agree with Mayor Richard Atwell’s decision to ask for the CAO’s resignation.
I think it is important to be able to work with someone new in this position who is not a leftover from the previous regime.
It is always interesting to learn (in the process) about these sweetheart deals with which these managers are able to leave.
I find a $476,000 severance for a CAO of a municipality way too rich.
I hope Mayor Atwell can negotiate more reasonable contracts with future managers.
I, for one, welcome the new mayor’s fresh ideas. I think Atwell will be far more responsible with taxpayers’ money than the former mayor as seen here with this ridiculous severance package.
