June 1 & 2 – The Arbutus Singer present an entertaining, family-friendly concert at 7:30 p.m. at First Metropolitan United Church, with a reception following the concert each night. Tickets are $15/adults; $25/family; $10/seniors & students, available at the door or from 250-727-9146. All proceeds go to the ChoirKids program.

June 3 – Walk-!T Challenge, a free, 5K walk open to all, 8:30 a.m. at 1008 Douglas St. or Broadmead Village, 777 Royal Oak Dr. FMI:

June 3 – UVic Kids’ Safety Day, with free, fun activities, 1 to 4 p.m. in parking lot 2. Bike Safety Rodeo for children five to 12-years-old with bicycles and helmets. Refreshments available. FMI: 250-721-8981.

June 9 –  St. Andrew’s Regional High School Alumni Association BBQ welcomes all former students, graduates, parents, former teachers and support staff at the school from 5 to 8 p.m. Entertainment, Bungee Run inflatable, induction of the 2012 graduating class. June 9 – Victoria Grandmothers for Africa Stride Walk 2012, Centennial Square. Registration at 10 a.m. ($10, walk scarf provided) for 11 a.m. start. Funds raised support African grandmothers through the Stephen Lewis Foundation.  FMI:  To donate online:

June 10 –  Jubilate! A fundraising concert for the Rainbow Kitchen and Camp Columbia at St. Mary’s Oak Bay, 1701 Elgin St., 2:30 p.m. Admission by donation.
