Bluegrass Mass kicks off at St. Philip Anglican Church

Evening includes gospel bluegrass and Americana followed by a meal

St. Luke’s Players opens its 2014-15 season with Steel Magnolias, a drama/comedy by Robert Harling, directed by Don Keith.

Revolving around a beauty parlor in a small parish in modern-day Louisiana, the play depicts a close-knit circle of friends.

The “Steel Magnolias” promise to provide laughs and tears as the realities of their lives in tiny Chinquapin Parish unfold. Performances on Oct. 8 to 12 and Oct. 15 to 18.
