The Camosun College Student Society is ready to start spreading some Christmas cheer with its annual holiday market.

The market, a festive tradition, provides a platform for Camosun students to showcase and sell handmade goods, unique crafts, and items they're passionate about to fellow students, staff and the Greater Victoria community.

The market comes to Camosun's Interurban campus main atrium Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. before hitting the Lansdowne campus Nov. 26. It will be at the Sherri Bell Hall, Wilna Thomas Building from 3 to 6 p.m.

Student society executive Sean Leyland said the holiday market isn’t just about buying and selling. The student society will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Student Society Food Bank.

"With the cost of living on the rise – particularly affecting students – this initiative aims to give back to those in need during the holiday season," said Leyland in a release, promising a chance to even snap a photo with Santa Claus himself.

"Don’t miss this opportunity to support local student artisans and contribute to a great cause as the community comes together to spread holiday goodwill."
