Go back in history with a time-travel scavenger hunt. Take in historical vignettes by the Pioneer Players, and meet roving characters in a performance troupe called History2Life. Hear music, dance and other stories with a focus on the city’s past.

The festival takes place at Centennial Square between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Visit www.    victoria.ca/history2life.

• Public ceremony and  community celebration, Aug. 2

From 11 a.m. to noon, come to Centennial Square for a ceremony led by Mayor Dean Fortin and other special guests. Canada Post’s Victoria 150 commemorative envelope will be unveiled.
