Former Saanich mayor to be remembered on Tuesday

Gordon Head Recreation Centre hosts Celebration of Life for Hugh Curtis

A celebration of life for former Saanich Mayor Hugh Curtis, who succumbed to cancer on May 27, will happen Tuesday (June 10) at Gordon Head Recreation Centre.

Curtis was Mayor of Saanich from 1964 to 1973.

The celebration of life happens from 2 to 4 p.m. at 4100 Lambrick Way.

Curtis’ family has asked that individuals wishing to make a donation in his memory do so to the David Foster Foundation, Variety Club of B.C. or the Boys and Girls Club of Victoria.
