Canadian Green Party hosts speakers and emcee Arthur Black for annual convention in Sidney

The Peninsula will be a little greener this August as the federal Green Party hosts its annual convention at the Mary Winspear Centre later this month.

From Aug. 17-19 the Greens will offer training sessions and guest speakers at the centre, including former Liberal leader Stéphane Dion, author Ronald Wright and MP Elizabeth May.

Local humorist Arthur Black will host the event, which will also be live streamed on their website at www.greenparty.ca starting at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
