Missing llama from Highlands found

UPDATE: Sparkle, the missing llama has been found and is safely home.

A frightened llama is missing in the District of Highlands and her owners are asking for the public’s help in locating the animal.

Sparkle fled at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday near Compton Road and Bukin Drive West. It was believed she was heading towards Munn Road.

According to ROAM (Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing), Sparkle is new to the area and has not been seen since she broke through a fence.

Sparkle is a two-year-old brown llama with white spots, according to FLED (Find Lost and Escaped Dogs Vancouver Island), and she likes horse treats and carrots.
