Jacqueline Downey and Peter Zambri braved the frigid water for the Victory Ocean Swim at Gyro Park on Sunday.

The event was organized by Jasmin Gerwien as a fundraiser for the Mustard Seed food bank and a way to honour the memory of her mother who passed away last year. The fundraiser brought in several tubs of food and about $300 for the food bank.

The next Victory Ocean Swim will take place Dec. 9, 1 p.m. at Gyro Park.
