It will be a book lover’s paradise on Saturday, March 9, when more than 4,000 books will be available at bargain prices.

Churchmouse Books is holding their annual giant spring sale. Books will be sold by donation, with funds going to support charities and community outreach programs such as local food banks, Our Place and Threshold Housing. Some of the finer volumes will be sold via silent auction.

“It will be better this year because the books which we are receiving from donors are getting ever better in quality,” said bookshop volunteer Karen Wilson.

The annual spring book sale started in 2015 and has been increasing in popularity since.

In addition to a young readers section, this year promises complimentary tea and coffee, live music, and dog treats for four-legged visitors.

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church (1701 Elgin Road).
