Seniors’ group seeks fabric for fundraising

Swan Lake senior crafters (who call themselves the Silver Swans), meet once a week

Donna Brower, left, and Betty Leitch share a laugh while working on craft projects at the Les Passmore Centre on Hampton Road.

The group, the Swan Lake senior crafters (who call themselves the Silver Swans), meet once a week at the centre to create crafts to raise money for the Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary.

The group, which has been funded by the government for a year, helps to promote seniors staying social and active.

The group’s funding ends Dec.1 and it is looking for donations of fabric, preferably cotton that can be dropped off at the Les Passmore Centre, 286 Hampton Rd., or at Swan Lake nature sanctuary, 3873 Swan Lake Rd.
