Drugs will be the topic at Royal Bay secondary on May 9 (7 to 8:30 p.m.), as parents learn how to tackle this difficult subject matter with their kids in the midst of the ongoing fentanyl crisis.

The evening will provide information about current trends related to youth substance use, as well as practical resources and services that can help, and how to talk to teens about drugs in a way that strengthens your relationship.

The free event is organized by the Sooke Parents’ Education Advisory Council, Island Health and UVic’s Centre for Addictions Research. Free child minding is available with advance notice.

RSVP via eventbrite.ca (Search: Talk Drugs).
