University women hosting film night in Sidney

First Nations elders, others in communities to share insights

The Canadian Federation of University Women, Saanich Peninsula, is hosting a screening of Teaching From the Half-Boy, a Cultural Homecoming.

The film offers insights from First Nations elders, parents and residential school survivors seeking to reclaim and preserve traditional culture for their children.

The film’s executive producer, Donna Miller, is guest speaker for the event, set for Tuesday, Oct. 22, 7 p.m. at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. It is open to CFUW members and women from all backgrounds.
