Four “unsung heroes” are being recognized at a banquet tonight but only one will walk away with the $4,500 prize.
The First Unitarian Church of Victoria and the Community Social Planning Council is organizing the event “to awaken the rest of us to some quietly remarkable people in our midst.”
The nominees are Becky Cory, David Hough, Lynda Vallee and Enid Elliot.
The event takes place April 29 at 6 p.m. in the church, on West Saanich Road, opposite Red Barn Market. Tickets are $50.. For more information, please call 250-598-1063.
