UVic’s Department of Theatre hosts weekend open house

Event aimed to give prospective students a taste of what the school has to offer

The University of Victoria’s theatre department opens its doors for a behind-the-scenes introduction to the world of theatre.

The Feb. 1 event is for prospective students interested in pursuing a career in a variety of theatrical roles, including acting; set, costume and lighting design; directing; and producing.

Attendees will have a chance to talk with current students about their experiences.

The open house happens Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the campus’ Phoenix Theatre.
