The B.C. Cancer Foundation is accepting donations in honour of Thrifty Foods co-founder Alex Campbell Sr., who died Oct. 11 after a long illness.
Campbell was a longtime supporter of the foundation, and chaired its 2011 Inspire the World fundraising campaign.
He and his wife, Jo, were also generous during the 2009 campaign, during which they contributed $1 million. The Alex & Jo Campbell Patient and Family Support Centre, located at the B.C. Cancer Agency's Vancouver Island Centre near the Royal Jubilee Hospital was named in their honour.
