Arbutus students strike a high note with performance

Strike performed for a crowd of close to 50 people during a recent performance at the Good Earth Cafe in Oak Bay. The band – made up of Arbutus Global middle school students Dylan Matthews (lead vocal and guitar), Patrick Huang (keyboard), Bryan Kaneva (drums) and Grade 7 teacher Jon Flash filling in for regular bassist Azeez Said – played a number of rock standards including Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Rocket Man by Elton John and Have You Ever Seen the Rain by John Fogarty.
