More than 2,000 people are expected to attend this weekend’s Tall Tree Music Festival in Port Renfrew.

Tall Tree is one of the premier music festivals in B.C., and this year will feature more than 60 multi-genre acts ranging from rock, indie, electronic, hip hop and comedy.

Adding to the festival’s numbers this year are more than 200 festival-goers from the bankrupt Pemberton music festival. Tall Tree organizers agreed to exchange the Pemberton tickets.

Notable international acts for this year’s Tall Tree include New Zealand’s Shapeshifter, South Africa’s GoldFish and Beats Antique, East Star All-Stars, DJ Nu-Mark and Worthy, all from the U.S.

This is the eighth year of the festival and is expected to be the biggest yet, said festival spokesperson Emmalee Brunt, with more capacity, vendors, activities and sponsors than ever before. The festival has sold out in the last three years.

Tall Tree Music Festival runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Browns Mountain, near Port Renfrew.
