Quadra Street stabbing leads to Saanich PD arrest

The victim's injuries aren't believed to be life threatening

A stabbing on Quadra Street has led to an arrest, according to the Saanich Police Department.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, Saanich patrol officers responded to a disturbance in the 3300 block of Quadra St., where they discovered an individual suffering from an apparent stab wound.

"The victim received medical assistance at the scene and was later transported to hospital," Saanich PD said in a news release. "Their injury is not believed to be life threatening." 

A suspect in the assault was located on scene, taken into custody and later released on conditions.

"We are in the early stages of this investigation but believe this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public," Saanich PD added in the same news release. "We anticipate recommending a charge of aggravated assault."
