Saanich Mayor Dean Murdock has announced the winner of the 2024 Holiday Card Design Contest. The winning design, created by Weston Taiji, a Grade 2 student from Saanich, will be featured on the official holiday card.

“We’re excited to showcase Weston’s snowy outdoor scene, which perfectly captures the magic of winter,” said Mayor Dean Murdock.

As part of his prize, Weston is invited to Saanich’s municipal hall to serve as the district’s mayor for one morning. He will have the opportunity to tour the building, as well as the local police department and fire stations.

“We look forward to celebrating Weston’s talent and having some fun together,” Murdock said. “I also want to thank all the children who participated and their families for their support. I look forward to next year’s contest.”
