B.C. Liberals announce candidate in western constituency

Colwood businessman to run in the May 2013 provincial election

The B.C. Liberal Party has selected Colwood resident Chris Ricketts as its candidate for Esquimalt-Royal Roads in the May 2013 provincial election.

Ricketts runs Ricketts Construction Ltd. and has served as president of the WestShore Chamber of Commerce. He is currently director of the Esquimalt-Royal Roads B.C. Liberal Constituency Association.

“As someone who depends on a thriving construction industry, I believe it is vitally important that we maintain a government that is committed to keeping B.C.’s economy strong,” he said in a news release.

Ricketts is also a former president of the Canadian Home Builders Association of B.C.
