Thinking about travelling to the mainland on Thursday? Plan ahead as sailings are filling up quickly as people make their way home after New Year’s Day.

The 3 and 4 p.m. sailings from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen were at capacity by 2 p.m. and the 5 p.m. sailing is more than 60 per cent full. The 7 p.m. is approaching the 50 per cent mark.

On the Tsawwassen side, the 3 p.m. is full and the 5 p.m. is more than 80 per cent full.

BC Ferries has acknowledged that Environment Canada has issued rainfall, wet snow and strong wind warnings for the B.C. coast which could affect sailings. Passengers are advised to check the current conditions for their route before heading out or check the @BCFerries Twitter page for updates.
