Compassionate Resource Warehouse celebrates milestone

The Compassionate Resource Warehouse sent its 300th shipment of aid supplies last week when the local charity packed up a 40-foot container bound for Guatemala.

“It took a year to fill our first (container),” said Coun. Leif Wergeland, spokesperson for the non profit group. “This is a bit of a milestone for us.”

With 11 containers sent so far in 2011, Wergeland expects this year to be one of the biggest years for the warehouse, which only donates to registered charities abroad. CRW continues to accept donations of cash and supplies on the last Saturday of every month at Lumberworld, 3955 Quadra St.
