Cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries after being hit by vehicle in Duncan

A 39-year-old man is clinging to life after being hit by a vehicle in Duncan on Wednesday night.

The man was cycling in front of the Ramada Hotel, near 140 Trans-Canada Highway at 8:30 p.m. when he was hit.

The cyclist is in hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, RCMP said in a news release.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are asking anyone who saw the crash or may have dash camera footage of it to please come forward. The can contact police at 250-748-5522.
