Dispute ends in assault, victims in hospital

A Saanich dispute sent two to hospital on Tuesday night with non-life threatening injuries

Saanich Police made took a suspect into custody following a call for service involving an assault in the 3200-block of Shelley Street at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Two were sent to hospital following what police called an assault.

Officers searched the home for possible evidence related to the offence.

"I’m not certain of the exact relationship between the man and woman yesterday was but I can confirm they were not husband and wife," said acting Sgt. Jereme Leslie.

As of Wednesday Saanich Police recommended assault related charges.

The injuries were non-life threatening.

Leslie said there is no safety risk to the public.
