Early birds take to Uplands Park trails

Monthly bird walk travels from Cattle Point to Uplands

It’s said that the early bird gets the worm, but in the case of the Friends of Uplands Park, it’s the early risers who get the birds.

Geoffrey Newell of the Friends of Uplands Park will again lead a bird walk from Cattle Point through Uplands Park and will be prepared to help point out and identify the multitude of bird species that make the park their home.

The September bird walk spotted and identified 21 different bird species

The walk is this Sunday (Oct 28) at 8 a.m. It’s a free event and participants are asked to meet at the first boat launch and bring binoculars, bird books or checklists if you have them.
