Knife wielding man arrested at Uptown

A 25-year-old male is currently in custody after a knife wielding incident at Uptown mall on Thursday night

Saanich Police arrested a man at Uptown on Thursday night who was threatening people with a knife.

Nobody was hurt during this incident.

A 25-year-old male is currently in police custody and will be appearing in court this morning (Nov. 25) to face numerous criminal charges.

Numerous police units responded to the 911 call at the upper level of Uptown mall. The caller reported that a man was in possession of a knife and was threatening people outside a business at that location.

The male taken into custody without incident.
