Masked man robs Saanich pharmacy for narcotics

A masked man fled with narcotics after robbing a Saanich drug store Tuesday evening.

A masked man fled with narcotics after robbing a Saanich drug store Tuesday evening.

The man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart in the 100-block of Burnside Rd. West at 5:45 p.m. He had on a blue toque, and blue and white bandana covering his head and face.

He demanded narcotics from an employee, and then ran away on foot. No weapon was ever produced.

The man, described as a heavy-set white male, approximately 6′ tall and in his early 20s to 30s, was last seen running toward Tillicum Centre.

He was also wearing a navy blue raincoat, blue jeans and black ski boots.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Saanich police at 250-475-4321.
