Dog lovers and cat lovers will set aside their differences this weekend for the sake of their pets as Saanich hosts the Vancouver Island Pet Expo.
Shop for products for your furry, feathered and scaly friends, talk to pet experts and enjoy animal-related activities at Pearkes Recreation Centre (3100 Tillicum Rd.).
The two-day event will feature wiener dog races, a miniature horse show, a pet fashion show and much more.
There will also be fun activities for kids, including balloon animals and a bouncy castle.
Tickets ($8 for adults, $5 for kids) can be purchased online at www.vancouverislandpetexpo.com.
The Pet Expo runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday (May 28) and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Pets, however, cannot attend the event.
