The Saanich Emergency Program wants residents to know what to do and how to be best prepared in the event of a disaster such as a major earthquake.
To enhance that knowledge, the program is hosting a series of emergency preparedness workshops to provide basic skills to teach people how to survive for a week after a disaster.
The first workshop takes place tonight (March 23) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Saanich Commonwealth Place. The workshop is free, but requires registration. Call 250-475-7600 and reference #444304 to register.
