Two girls were struck by a vehicle when they jaywalked across Quadra Street near Panorama Drive just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Saanich Police reported the girls suffered minor injuries.

A silver Subaru with a noticeably damaged windshield remained parked on the road during a brief investigation by police.

Saanich Police issued the advisory shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, reporting the both northbound and southbound traffic was temporarily diverted on Quadra between the highway overpass and Panorama Drive.

Police say the girls were released from hospital Thursday and charges are not being considered in connection with the incident.
