Saanich’s first pickleball courts will receive public recognition Saturday when the District celebrates recent improvements to Tolmie Park.

The celebration will take place between 12 and 2 p.m. at the park. Neighbours, including members of the Quadra Cedar Hill Community association, will take part in a variety of games, face painting, disc golf, food trucks and more. Parking is very limited so the community is reminded to walk or cycle, if possible.

In addition to the pickleball courts, members of the public will be able to check out a new playground and youth area, a larger sport court, walkway improvements, drainage upgrades and landscaping.
