The Union of British Columbia Municipalities is getting a $18,644.96 payment from Saanich for annual dues. The 106-year-old union represents the interests of local governments and bases membership fees on population. Saanich's population of 114,140 comes at a $16,647 cost, with $1,997.67 in HST added.
