The Saanich Police Department has advised the public to avoid Brookleigh Road due to flooding on Oldfield Road Saturday (Dec. 18), a road closure is in effect as a result.
Although heavy rains persisted much of Saturday morning and into the afternoon, Const. Pamela Garon said that the flood is relatively small and not uncommon in rural Saanich areas.
