Saanich held its annual Tree Appreciation Day, Nov. 6.
The event was sponsored by the Friends of Mount Doug Park Society, Saanich Parks, the Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Pacific Forestry Centre. Volunteers planted 1,000 native trees and shrubs along the banks of the creek.
