West Coast Road reopens after ‘serious incident’ prompted Tuesday afternoon closure

The road was closed between Grant Road West and Otter Point Road as emergency services were on scene

Sooke RCMP announced that West Coast Road reopened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday after a section of the road was closed for most of the afternoon as crews responded to a “serious incident.”

Just before 2:30 p.m. on March 13, Sooke RCMP tweeted that West Coast Road was closed to traffic between Grant Road West and Otter Point Road as emergency services were on scene and front line members were investigating the incident.
