West Shore RCMP looking to identify car involved in hit and run

Incident occurred at Watkiss Way and Burnside Road on Aug. 13

The West Shore RCMP is asking the public’s help to identify a vehicle involved in a hit and run in View Royal.

The incident happened at Watkiss Way and Burnside Road on Aug. 13 shortly after noon.

Witnesses told RCMP the driver of a red Subaru wagon was travelling at a high speed and turned right from Watkiss Way onto Burnside Road. The driver of the Subaru cut between two cars making a left turn and clipped a grey car causing damage to the vehicle’s rear end. The driver of the hit vehicle was transported to hospital.

The Subaru was last seen speeding away southbound on Burnside Road heading towards Saanich. The car had damage to the front end and driver’s side headlight.
