Victoria Police are searching for a white male suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted aboard a BC Transit bus Saturday (Nov. 11) evening.

Officers responded to a call shortly before 11 p.m. for the report of a sexual assault after an unknown man had boarded a bus at Douglas and Fort streets. At some point between boarding at that stop and fleeing at the next, on Douglas and Hillside Avenue, the assault took place. The woman did not suffer any physical injuries and the man fled east on Hillside.

VicPD say they are looking for a Caucasian man believed to be in his 40’s who is described as clean shaven, with an average build and may possibly have blue eyes. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark zip-up jacket with a dark hood, dark denim jeans and was carrying a backpack. It is possible that his cheeks have acne scarring.

If you have any information about this individual, or were witness to the offence, please contact 250-995-7654 or to report anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
