SNIHUR, Edward


Mr. Edward Snihur of Red Deer passed away in the early hours on June 6, 2017, at the age of 84. Edward was born on September 24, 1932, to William and Maria Snihur in Musidora, Alberta, and lived in the area and later relocating to Red Area until his passing. Edward painted many homes and laid carpets for a living. He was always there lending a hand for family.

Edward will be remembered by his loving wife Leona. Edward leaves to mourn his daughter Arlene (John) Skrocki, Diane (Glen) Hicks, sons, Robert (Bonny) Snihur, Paul Lamoureux, Laurence (Beryl) Lamoureux, as well as three special sons in law, Curtis Blair, John Skrocki, and Glen Hicks, and numerous grandchildren and special great grandchildren.

Edward was predeceased by his daughters Anna Snihur-Skoreyko and Mary Alta Blair, his parents, brothers, Mike, Nick, and sister Anne-Marie.

With respect to Edward's wishes, no service will be held at this time, but a private family celebration of his life is planned later this summer.

In loving memory of Edward Snihur, a tree will be planted in his honour.
