The Cook Street bike lanes between Maplewood and Quadra that were completed by Saanich in October 2015 have now been in place for a little over a year.
I travel that route every week on three or more occasions, and in the past year I have observed a total of five bike riders using the bike lanes.
Given the construction took over one year and cost several millions, I question the value and need for the project.
