Charging stations needed

I’m heartened to read that “Saanich targets 5,000 electric vehicles by 2020” (June 9, Saanich News ) – but also surprised, since when we at the Cadboro Bay Residents Association asked Saanich recently if they would agree to pay for one or two EV charging stations at Gyro Park (at the instigation of at least two of our residents), they turned us flatly down.

If the District of Saanich is serious about increasing the number of electric vehicles in the municipality, it should be prepared to make the infrastructure investment.
