I was very disappointed to see that this feature gave a thorough account of the problems and very little towards helping the consumer be part of the solutions.
How could you not include at least a sidebar indicating what people should do with the common things of which we need to dispose.
I think many people want to do the right thing, but it’s so hard to understand where you’re supposed to go with the particular thing(s) you need to get rid of – and often quickly. No time to do mountains of research and understand complicated this and that! Make it easy for people and be amazed at how much the problems you described so well would lessen.
Responsible journalism in a community paper absolutely called for that sidebar.
