Letter: Social media can get it wrong

Social media video viewers should do their research before jumping to conclusions.

There have been a lot of videos of police officers forcing or seizing people on social media lately.

Social media users tend to jump straight to conclusions on these video recordings saying, “this is police brutality” etc.

These people have no right to jump conclusions since they were not at the scene of the crime. Since viewers are only shown parts of the police handling people, viewers do not know what had happened before or what the person has done before being arrested.

Viewers should do their research before jumping to conclusions.
