In recent Black Press pages Nick Loenen tried to pull a version of the ‘extremism’ scam, by using a biased listing of who is ‘extremist.’

He claims that Donald Trump and Doug Ford are ‘extremist’ but omits the lies of Pierre Trudeau (regarding wage and price controls and the small terrorists group in Quebec), the rights-violating governments of Quebec – some advocating the extreme step of separatism to advance their discrimination, bully Jean Chretien, swashbuckling Glen Clark who set BC Ferries back a decade or more, and the MP who planned her breaking of a court order (after a hypocritical rant about radio signals transmitted by radio and appearances with Maude Barlow who associated with violent people).

He overlooks Green parties whose ideology is a negative view of humans. And the rights-violating agenda of B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix.

He omits that one of the ‘proportional representation’ options to be voted on in B.C. would discriminate against individuals by giving political parties special status, just as the gravy train that a ‘right-wing’ Prime Minister eliminated (funding out of taxes).

That special status is ironic for someone who supports movements that began small, such as the Green party that now has seats in the BC legislature. I am wary of ‘proportional representation because of who promotes it, though I predict it will not provide the power they hope to gain, and may work against their interests.

Proportional-Representation electoral systems make parties more powerful than people may be of interest.
