Police reviews, changes needed if officer’s actions can be justified

Re: Victoria officer vilified in YouTube video won’t be charged (News, Feb. 16)

The officer is kicking, repeatedly, a man who is subdued on the ground with his back turned. What comes to mind here is cruelty, stupidity and cowardice. I don’t want this man protecting me or my family.

I have a hard time believing that what I saw is normal police procedure. If it is, then we need to have a complete review of our laws and who enforces those laws.

They don’t let bank robbers investigate bank robberies, why is it acceptable for cops to investigate cops? There are too many police-related problems that say to me that the police hire the wrong types of people to enforce the laws.
